The Guru's Day...

Holloween represents a Scottish variant of the fuller All-Hallows-Even ("evening"), that is, the night before Holloween.

All-Hollows day is another name for All-Saints day.

The scary figures are supposed to ward off evil.

Interesting enough "Diwali" (the Hindu festival of light) is around the same timing of the year, which also symbolizes, the victory of "good" over "evil"

The Saints are a part of the Holy Trinity which is apparent in all religions:
1. Creator (Infinite power which is sustaining all levels of creation through the Creator's will)
2. The Creators Sustaining Power (also known as the Word, the Shabad, the Tao),
3. The Saint or the Guru (someone who is able to put one in touch with the The Creators Sustaining Power)

We all have the potential, however we are unlit candles, the Saints are lit candles through them they put us in touch with 2. which leads us to 1.

So when you put on your Holloween costume, remember "The Guru's Day"...
