Toastmaster Table Topic's Competition

I came second in this week's Toastmaster Table Topic's Competition, something I was not expecting.  I am not big into competitions personally, I have no interest in proving I am better than anyone else, I feel that one always need to approach things with a spirit of  humility, service and learning.

My motivation for joining to contest was to just practice speaking on the fly which is what table topics is all about.  There are many situations in work, social or family situation's where you are thrown a curve ball! Speaking, listening, writing is a skill that can be improved through practice and repetition.

We all have inherit strengths and weaknesses, I do however believe that one should push beyond one's comfort zone, so that one can build on one's strengths and overcome one's weakness, so that learning and self growth happens.

I feel that one always need to approach things with a spirit of  humility, service and learning

The random question I got was, as a child what did I get into trouble the most for.  To listen to the answer please click here.

Peace,

Kirpal
